The Brief
Doctors for Nepal needed to modernise an ageing website and better reflect the charity’s growth from its original scholarship programme into health projects, appeals and wider community work.
The existing website had become crowded and difficult to navigate, particularly for some older users. The redesign needed to simplify the content, improve the donation journey, make stronger use of photography and video, highlight the charity’s impact and provide clearer routes for supporters, donors, partners and potential beneficiaries.
The Solution
A new responsive WordPress website was designed and developed using Divi 5, with streamlined navigation and a reduced page structure that makes the charity’s work easier to understand.
Key features include an editable interactive map showing the regions where Doctors for Nepal works, animated impact statistics, prominent donation journeys, migrated events functionality and an improved WooCommerce shop with updated payment options. The website was designed with WCAG AA accessibility in mind, while SEO-aware redirects protect existing links and search visibility. A structured editing system gives the internal team straightforward control over pages, content and interactive elements.
